CEO & Cofounder of Piloto 151 & PilotoMail
I’m a serial entrepreneur in the tech and real estate space. I’m also the CEO of Piloto 151, Puerto Rico’s first and largest coworking space operation spanning close to 100,000 square feet of commercial real estate across 5 locations. I’ve led Piloto 151’s growth beyond the square footage cap on its revenue through Virtual Office offerings and cracked the code on making coworking profitable by nailing and scaling Piloto’s Virtual Office offering. I cofounded PilotoMail out of the pain of scaling Virtual Offices without adequate software to manage and handle over 500 mail pieces and packages a day. Today, I’m ready to share my secret sauce with the coworking and flex office industry.

After filling out the form, you must present it along with two forms of identification to your Postmaster. Execute the form in the presence of the Postmaster and retain one of the signed duplicate copies. This step might require effort and follow-up to the post office, as the procedure is relatively new to postal workers.
Wait for approval. Check in every week or every other week for updates.
You’ll receive a letter from the USPS office containing instructions for your initial steps to set up and access your USPS Database called Customer Registration Database (CRD). This dashboard serves as a central platform for tasks such as uploading new customer information, deactivating inactive customers, and accessing quarterly reports. You must submit the CMRA forms (PS Form 1583) every quarter (January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15). Check out our instruction guide to fill out PS Form 1583.
Once approved by your Postmaster, you must display the CMRA certificate in a visible area at the location.

Providing the necessary IDs
Securing postmaster verification for each of your location
First, we’ll go over Form 1583-A, USPS’s Application for Act as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agent, which you need to fill out to apply to receive your clients’ mail. You can access our guide here and download the Form 1583-A.
